What about Phillip Lawrence's human rights?

by Teri_R @ 20. Aug. 2007. - 13:31:58

The killer of head teacher Phillip Lawrence has won his appeal against deportation after it was ruled deporting him back to his birth country would be "against his human rights" Surely he should have thought of that before taking someones life?

Meanwhile he will languish in a holiay camp british jail, paid for by our taxes.

I think if anyone found guilty of any crime in the UK were deported back to serve time in their own country, we may see a decline in the crime figures. I don't mind immigration, but surely we should be encouraging decent, hardworking law abiding people?

Seaside and Granny Flats

by Teri_R @ 20. Aug. 2007. - 10:03:22

On Saturday Lee and I decided to take advantage of being childless and head for the coast. We'll call it the junk food run!

We started with a visit to Withernsea where we bought sherbert lemons and fudge.

We then went to Hornsea, where we walked around the Freeport and then onto the beach for an ice cream,

Next we ventured on to Bridlington, where we ate chips, sat on the harbour wall surrounded by seagulls

Next stop was Flambrough head. Sadly that's when the rain caught up with us so we sat in the car, I read my book while Lee had a snooze

We then arrived at Scarbrough, even though it was 8pm all the shops were open and it was VERY busy. We went to a cafe and had coffee and pizza. We then hit the arcades where I won a Bart Simpson for Lee on grab a teddy

We arrived home at 11.30pm.

Sunday was my nephew's birthday and as tradition dictates time for a family BBQ. Our family don't allow the rain, and bitter winds to put us off, my dad found shelter in the shed :)) He and my mum will move in this week!

Abi got back last night and has had a lovely time with her cousins. Lee is ill (painful sinuses) So this week I'l be looking after the poorly soldier and sorting out new school shoes and bag etc for Abi.

Technical Support...or perhaps it's the bank!
