A vicious attack in a Sheffield park

by Teri_R @ 23. May. 2007. - 17:47:23

This morning Lee and I were sat taking in the morning sunshine at Weston Park in the centre of Sheffield, when we witnessed a vicious assault on three unsuspecting individuals. I know it is so cliched but the attacker was indeed black!88|

Luckily the three ducks managed to escape and the crow flew off to find other prey! :DD

Weston Park is beautiful and is currently undergoing redevelopment, however the park was a nice bit of calm. We visited the museum which was fantastic! We've decided to visit it again next week with Abi, that way we can do all the activities without other visitors thinking we are mad

Abi had her review today and has again managed to improve her effort grade. She has gained excellent in all but three subjects, and I am "yet again" one proud mum.

Love and light

by Teri_R @ 22. May. 2007. - 21:28:27

In the last week I have paid two visits to a Spiritualist church. Regular readers will know that I am not only a believer of the afterlife but have witnessed spirit before.
The church is situated in an industrial estate and was a very welcoming place. My first visit, last Wednesday involved a visiting medium who gave readings to people sat in the audience, sadly not me, but I enjoyed it non the less.
Last night was "open circle" Once the meeting was opened with a prayer and a song the lights were dimmed and we sat in silence, eventually the lady on front of me got up and picked out someone in the circle, she gave validation that she had spirit communicating through her and passed on messages. In turn people around the room got up and gave out messages, some were experienced others people developing their gift.
My aunt (who died this month) visited the church regularly and it was with her daughters I went with. We didn't get a message, but I felt we had loved ones around us. My personal thoughts are that my cousins aren't ready for contact yet, when they are my aunt will come through, as did my brother last year. That was 30 years after his death and still emotional.
Lee reckons I'm turning into a "bible basher" but despite his teasing, I will return next week. Abi wants to come along too!

Great tits!

Married/living together people will understand this!

by Teri_R @ 17. May. 2007. - 22:15:41

Now as you all know I love my hubby to bits and miss him loads when he is at work.
Due to my cancelled op and Lee not being able to cancel his leave Lee and I are home alone together, and have been since Sunday.
The honeymoon is over, I could kill him! He isn't doing anything specific wrong.
Except perhaps..........breathing!

Ok Teri, he's back, look up from the laptop and smile!

You're Cat's Cradle!

by Kurt Vonnegut

You believe quite firmly that free will deserted you long ago and far
away. As a result, it's hard to take responsibility for anything. Even though you show
great potential as a leader of a small 3rd world country, the choices are all made ahead
of time. You're rather fond of games involving string. Your fear of nuclear weaponry is
trumped only by your fear of ice.

As you may have noticed I have changed my profile pic, then I had a thought. Blogland is worldwide, lets use it to spread the word. Please change your profile picture to the one attached.

We can do little but pray and hope Madeleine is found safe and well and fear that the best we can hope for is for her just to be found.

on the TV.

Abi was watching Sky+ but has now gone out and the TV has switched to FHM music channel. Lee is asleep on the sofa and I can't be arsed to go to the other side of the room and pick up the remote to change the channel.

Well the rain has stopped, little bit of fun last night when B... our next door neighbour set his chimney a fire and the firemen came. Abi scoped them out and loudly declared not to bother going out to oggle as they were all ugly and nearly bald! I stayed indoors

Been into Doncaster (or Donny) as it's know as, my cousin's car was in for a service so we decided to go into the town (or is it now a city?) for a look around. Struck me as funny as my mum and aunt (D's mum) used to make the trip weekly. We are indeed turning into our parents. We spent some quality time, some money and some calories (great chippy near the market!) I think it was nice for Dawn to get some normality after the chaos of her mum's illness and sudden death.

My diet has gone to the wall, plan was to go back on it this week, but on speaking to Mr Bank we can't afford it till payday. I just need to be good, as I haven't put any weight on!

Oh well, best go on the visit to mum's. Ami sent some new tot pictures today so need to go ga ga.

Have a good evening!

Its raining it's pouring........

...... the old man is snoring..

No he's not, he's watching Man Utd getting beat by West Ham from the comfort of his chair, and laughing at two things. One My brother is at the match getting piss wet through, two, if the results stay the same Sheff Utd will be relegated.

Not that we have anything against the team, my mum and elder brother are supporters. But the BBC (that'll be the hooligan element of the Sheff Utd fans (Blades Business Crew) as opposed to the robbing gits who take our licence fee) made our lives hell when we dared to bar them from a pub we ran in Sheffield. The mere sound of the Blades brings back memories and death threats that stopped us enjoying our chosen career.

The picture on my earlier post of Lucy in Ishigaki makes me yearn for the hot sun and a long white beach. Where do you ish you were today?

The bitch is back!
