Lovely sunny day and sorting out the brakes!

by Teri_R @ 28. Apr. 2007. - 11:34:45

I keep saying I'm gonna post a pic of my lovely new car but life has been interfering with my blog of late.

Its a SAAB 93 Turbo convertable in racing green. Cream leather interior and I LOVE IT! :>>

However when Lee is around I am confined to the passenger seat :(

Yesterday travelling on the A1-M11 Lee's speed was shocking 88| Lets just say three figures. Obviously as everyone else on the road were law abiding drivers this caused a lot of harsh braking on Lee's part. As we neared Chelmsford the brakes began to grind like hell. Apparently the brakes were going anyway, nothing to do with the hammer lee gave em.

Today Lee is off, gazing longingly at guitars and meeting his hero Steve Vai. Me, I'm confined to Chelmsford awaiting a call from the car spares place to say the brakes Lee ordered have arrived.

Hopefully it will be quick and we can then go to the coast as planned!

Hope you are all having a good day, thanks for the comments. I am off work on Wednesday next week and my plan for the day....

..... blog catch up!!!!!

Helloooo from Sunny Chelmsford

by Teri_R @ 27. Apr. 2007. - 23:47:12

Hi all

After the stress of the week we are away taking a break in Chelmsford with our good friends K,K & Z.

Travelled down this afternoon. Shopped at Tesco (loads of stuff for the tots - who we are seeing Sunday) and had a curry and some 0% alcohol Cobra. As I can't drink, it made a change to feel like I was having a "proper" drink.

Lee and K are off to London tomorrow for the guitar show and a master class with Steve Vai (yawn!)

Us girls are left to roam free!!!!!

Spent the morning helping my cousin sort music for my Aunt's funeral which is Monday. They are playing:

I believe - The platters - going into church
Over the rainbow - Eva Cassidy - Leaving church
When I fall in Love - Nat King Cole - Going into the crem
Save the last dance for me - When the curtains close.

All are favorites of my Aunt, and the first one is also my mum's. Which she informed me this week she wants playing at her funeral.
Watching my family struggle to decide what to play. I'm going to make a list.

Mine will be:

"English Rose" Paul Weller - going into the crem
"Always look on the bright side of live" monty Python - When the curtain closes.

What would you choose?

Lazy Sunday

by Teri_R @ 01. Apr. 2007. - 11:23:48

Morning all.

After 3 days of being ill (usual kidney pain) I actually feel half human today.

Aunt is using one of her nine lives to fight back and is showing a little improvement. We have decided dad's pain is a John Smiths label stuck in his liver and until told otherwise will stop worrying. Mum now has her brother & sister in wards opposite each other, one fighting to live the other too stubborn to try.

I have my operation appointment, which is the 14th May. Was going to request a tummy tuck at the same time but sadly they don't have to cut me open, which is a shame :)

I also have an appointment for a "capsule endoscopy" I have to swallow a pill with a camera in it, that will film my small bowel. I don't as I first thought have to return it to hospital, I apparently have elctrodes on my tummy which pick up messages from the pill ;D A bit too Inner Space for my liking (does anyone remember that film?.......No, just me then!?!?!)

Ah well, get back to the washing and drying again, a womans work is never done!
