Teddy tantrums and tears before bedtime.
@ 20. Mar. 2007. – 20:21:42
Sometimes in life you get a reality check that makes you stop and think.
Today started after a very bad night, arguement with Matt as he isn't being as proactive as I would like in the job hunting. Tending to favour his Mac and X Box to the job centre
Then stress at having to "farm out" Abi due to me going full time and entering the realms of Out of Hour Manager.Got up this morning and accessed my work emailfrom home to see an email from my Boss to a managing director refering to a VIP visit yesterday when she introduced a client to "all her management team"
I wasn't there yesterday so who am I, the bleedin cleaner???I then found out my SAAB in for repairs that didn't get done yesterday, had been swapped for a focus estate. Now I don't "do" big cars. Too much bloody rear end for a girl who can't do backwards. So Lee drove me to work.
On arrival at work, after asking if I'd had a good weekend, the boss then asked me to move desks, so the new girl who started yesterday could have my desk. I wouldn't mind but it was only Saturday I actually got round to moving there completely only to lugg the stuff back today. Then...
I asked her if it was OK for me to leave 1/2 early so Lee could pick me up and we could be back for his night shift at 6pm. You'd have thought I'd asked for her first-born kid!! So much for all the talk of flexibility on my return to work
After it took me an hour to get my PC set up on email and a printer I then spent the next hour updating my CV!
The afternoon was better, we did monthly reviews for two of the
numpteessupervisors I will be managing. To be honest they are crying out for development, and that's what I enjoy.I got home and made my daily call to my cousin for an update on my Aunt, she had been really well Sunday and Monday and even been nodding and smiling.
My cousin was distraught, her mum has taken another turn for the worst and no matter what I said, my cousin feels she is slowly watching her die. Puts my day right were it belongs!

Mothers day lunch at a country pub
@ 18. Mar. 2007. – 20:24:17
We took mother in law out for lunch today and Lee's brother in law and girlfriend came too. Went to the Rockingham Arms at Wentworth, which is an excellent country pub with sofas and log fires. They even do "doggy Sunday lunch" you pay a £1 the dog gets a meal and the £1 goes to an animal charity. We didn't take the dog and Lee refused, he said he wanted Bangers n Mash

Abi had smoked Salmon fishcakes for starter. Turkey Sunday Lunch and a huge slice of chocolate cake!!

I drank soda water and managed to fake a tummy bug. Then home to hot chocolate lipotrim shake

Went to younger brothers last night, and spent the night watching criket
Though it was good to see the Ireland team beat Pakistan on St paddys day
Very sad about the death of the Pakistan coach (ex british cricketer)
I got a lovely card from my grandbabies today. It said happy mothers day nan...mums know lots, but nans know best

I also got tickets to see James morrison on 29th june at Sherwood Forest, but best of all Abi made me a crown of willow with two flowers in that she made herself. Being a mum is the best!

Prang mi bloody car!
@ 14. Mar. 2007. – 21:19:05
Today I was so enthralled in watching last night's Most Haunted, I forgot I was working. So rushing around to get ready, I ran out and jumped into the car.
Now let me explain, to go down our drive you have to negotiate the steps on the left while avoiding the lampost on the right. Then hope that some pilock will actually let you out. Usually mum's on school runs in the bloody 4x4's that wouldn't know off road if you chucked mud at em!
Anyway I digress...
In my rush to get to work and while waving at B... (the old man next door) I misjudged the lampost.
One smashed wing mirror later (now tied up with green string - at least it matches the car!!) and I head off to work.Lee already had his teddy in the wash (unhappy!) as his PDA has broken down, meaning he has no sat nav for work. Good job I won on the bingo hey!
Hope you all had a better day!

Aunt is showing some improvement, but still listed as critical.
Have a good day!

Short Sunday
@ 11. Mar. 2007. – 21:35:18
Well, last night we were knackered
so had an early night, NO not one of those early nights
We were in bed, and asleep by 9.30pm, 12 hours later I woke up, nudged Lee and said "we should get up" Well the bed was sooo warm, I snuggled back down and awoke again at 11.15
Dove out of bed chucked on some clothes and stumbled downstairs in search of Coffee, to find Abi and her friend Joe playing X Box.
We were supposed to be at Lee's mum's by 12, so strong coffee later off we popped. Trip to morrisons for shopping (why don't they get more staff!!!!) and home to put dinner on.I promised my cousin I would go to the hospital with her, we arrived at 3.15 to find the doctors had decided her mum needed another CT scan, so the room filled up with people unplugging and re plugging drips etc, to prepare her for the move. Her heart rat soared and as we held her hands you could feel her getting clammy (she was obviously, although unconcious, in a state of panic) luckily a male nurse stepped in and increased her sedation which seemed to settle her down a bit. This was a shame as her sedation had been decreased over the day and she had been attempting to open her eyes. Eventually at 5pm they wheeled her off for the scan and we went for a coffee to wait her return. The plan was to only stay an hour but no way could we go home until we knew she was settled back on ITU.
We eventually got home at 7.45, my aunt was back in her room, still heavly sedated and her blood pressure raised. We don't know how the scan went, or if this means another set back on what has been a rollercoaster two weeks of emotion.
Lee, Abi and I sat down and ate tea at 9pm, and Abi is now in the bath for school tomorrow. Where did sunday go??

Psychic link
@ 10. Mar. 2007. – 18:18:24
Do we have a psychic link to our loved ones?
I've lost count of the number of times I have thought of Ami, only for the phone to ring and it be her.
As you know my Aunt is ill. On Thursday night my cousin, after deciding not to go back to the hospital in the evening suddenly got the urge to go. She drove over there, only to find her sister, who lives close to the hospital was there too. She too had the same feeling of needing to see her mum. Within 10 minutes they were taken into a side room and advised that the surgeon was again taking my aunt into theatre. She wasn't recovering as well as hoped and something on a scan worried them. My cousins were able to see her before she went and stayed until she returned and was settled back in ICU.
Although still critical there is a small improvement and we continue to hope and pray.
How strange that her daughters would get his urge and arrive at the hospital just before the decision to take her to theatre was made. What do you think.......

Result!
@ 08. Mar. 2007. – 22:24:04
Little miss did well at Karate and is now a Yellow belt

Hospital results today. Despite no evidence of inflammation the biopsies have picked up some, though the report says there is not enough evidence to give a diagnosis of Inflammatory Bowel Desease. Next test is a "capsule endoscopy" where I swallow a pill with a camera in which will transmit pictures of my small bowel to a PC. Remeind me a bit of that film "inner space"
The tests I have had done show I am an ideal candidate for surgery to correct a defect in my bowel, and I am now on the list for the Op, he even put it down as urgent. Shows what happens if you complain
Work has been hectic, and I see I will need to give some "development" to my supervisors. To be honest I am looking forward to it, I like that part of the job!
Called in to ITU to see my aunt while I was at the hospital. They are reducing her ventilator and she is mostly breathing unaided. Still on dialysis, and there is some infection they cannot locate. but tomorrow they will begin to wake her. Not out of the woods yet but every day is a bonus and another step to recovery

My babies go home tomorrow
@ 04. Mar. 2007. – 20:41:14

Lee and I survived a night of babysitting. The tots were very well behaved and slept all night.
Took them out to my mums in the new double buggy today, got rained on coming back and cooked lunch.
Tonight my sister and I went to visit our aunt who is in intensive care in hospital, she was taken ill last Sunday with sickness and by Tuesday was on a ventilator. She is on about 8 drugs and is fighting numerous infections in her body. The doctors are at a loss on what to do next.
She's my mum's sister, so that's her brother and sister she's had in ITU within a month. Thankfully my uncle is on the road to recovery but we are all so worried for my aunt.
I'm very close to my cousin, and spent many summers up at her house. So hard to sit and see her holding her mum's hand while machines are taking over every function of her body.
I'm praying to anyone who will listen that the doctors get a hold on whatever is causing this and we see an improvement soon.

At work..................bored
@ 03. Mar. 2007. – 13:11:29
Helloooo
I am sneaking on t'internet at work. No doubt a report of my internet usage will be on my manager's desk by Monday morning. But hey ho! I have rewrit (is that a word) my report after my second lot of "feedback" from my manager. I reckon another two submissions and it may pass. I've spoken to the staff about handovers, developed a new template and written a process around it.
We've discussed the match between Man Utd and Liverpool and the sacking of Knill as manager of Rotherham Utd (scapegoat)
Lee has the cae and needs to drop Ami and the tots off in Sheffield before he picks me up so I'm stuck here

BE THANKFUL
By Author UnknownBe thankful that you don't already have everything you desire.
If you did, what would there be to look forward to?
Be thankful when you don't know something,
for it gives you the opportunity to learn.Be thankful for the difficult times.
During those times you grow.
Be thankful for your limitations,
because they give you opportunities for improvement.
Be thankful for each new challenge,
because it will build your strength and character.Be thankful for your mistakes. They will teach you valuable lessons.
Be thankful when you're tired and weary,
because it means you've made a difference. It's easy to be thankful for the good things.
A life of rich fulfillment comes to those who
are also thankful for the setbacks.
Gratitude can turn a negative into a positive.
Find a way to be thankful for your troubles,
and they can become your blessings -
Oskar has shoes!
@ 02. Mar. 2007. – 08:25:10
Proud granny took Ami to buy Oskar's first pair of shoes. At the moment he walks like a flower pot man in them but he'll get used to them. Made me remember taking Ami for her first pair. Ami was a very girly girl and her shoes HAD to be black patent with buckles. Hard to think she's 24 next week.
Was at work yesterday after having a tummy bug for two and them my repeat colonoscopy on Wednesday. No inflammation was seen, though he did take 10 biopsies. The consultant performed the test himself, that's what you get when you complain, a man who takes pride in shoving a camera up your arse himself

Appointment next week so hopefully get a date for the operation I am waiting on.
Hope you are all having a good week. Mine is great, my big girl and her two adorable babies are here and I have my lovely car

Right I'm off to wake Lee
