Well there I was, sitting happily blogging. Lee, who for once, hadn't been called out before his shift start time of 6pm, was sat watching Top Gear. When all of a sudden it hit me. Horrendous kidney pain, the likes of which I have not experienced since new year. I was in agony!
Lee got called out 5 minutes before the end of Top Gear and as it was a police job he had to rush, they only get a 30 minute turn around, and as usual the numptees in control chose Lee to travel 10 miles to get to the job. I kept quite about my pain and kissed him goodnight.
At 3.30am, 4 VERY STRONG pain killers later, I called him. He wasn't on a job, just sat in the yard watching films on his PDA, so he came home.
Not that he could do much, obviously my miracle cure isn't that and I have to accept this will happen. We went to bed at 4.30am, at 7.30am I crawled out of bed and saw Abi off to school. She left at 8.15am and I took more pain relief and crawled back to bed. Waking up at 11.30am, 30 minutes before I was due to go to work. Although not in as much pain, I felt totally washed out so I called in sick, well what I actually said was I wouldn't be in and would discuss making up my hours with my boss tomorrow.
I think I need to have a serious chat about the reality of my illness and check she is willing to be flexible and understanding enough to let me work around my bad days. We'll see.
Peed off that the car we wanted has fallen through. Finance company wouldn't finance the whole amount leaving us 2k short...Gits!
Hope the start to your week was better than mine!
