This was read at my friends funeral today

    FOOTPRINTS IN THE SAND
One night a man had a dream.
He dreamed he was walking along the beach
    with the Lord.

Across the sky flashed scenes from his life.

    For each scene,
he noticed two sets of footprints in the sand.
One belonged to him, and the other to the Lord.

When the last scene of his life flashed before him,
he looked back at the footprints in the sand.

    He noticed
that many times along the path of his life,
there was only one set of footprints.
He also noticed that it happened
    at the very lowest
and saddest times in his life.
    This really bothered him
and he questioned the Lord about it.:

    oooO
    ( )

"Lord, you said that once I decided to follow you,
you'd walk with me all the way.
But I have noticed that during
the most troublesome times in my life,
there is only one set of footprints.
I don't understand why when I needed you the most
    you would leave me."

    oooO

    The Lord replied,
    "My precious, precious child,
I love you and would never leave you.
During your times of trial and suffering,
when you see only one set of footprints,
it was then I carried you."

  • Tired on Tuesday

Well! The funeral was just that ... very very sad.

On a positive note I got to see her beautiful children grown up and saw loads of people I haven't seen since we left school 26 years ago!

    On to the hospital!
We sat for 2 hours, after the first hour I found out that the actual consultant wasn't there and I was "yet again" going to see the registrar. Now don't get me wrong I'm no snob, I don't mind who I see, I'll see the bloody cleaner as long as she has a clue.
He initially began to go into great detail about my tests results, now bear in mind these were done in June. My appointment for July got put back two months. Did he really think I would have waited 3 months to see what the results were??? My GP, disgusted at the lack of information had called and seen the basics. I knew they were clear, what I didn't know is 1. why I am still losing blood from my kidney 2. why I am in so much pain I am off work and spend days in bed when even tramadol won't move it.
In his patronising voice he told me that he didn't believe my kidneys were bleeding, for god sake!!! this bloke has tested my wee once it was 3+++ blood!! Because the microscopic analysis doesn't show any red blood cells he says I am not bleeding. I myself questioned this after I had used 50 dipsticks to show varying degrees of blood over a month, yet microbiology was neg. My GP explained that the filters in my kidneys were smashing the blood cells, hence they couldn't be seen. He and his colleagues were amazed that a registrar in a Urology department didn't know this.
As far as I am concerned my kidneys leaking blood is not important. I need to know what is causing my pain (which my GP and a bowel consultant have said is when they touch my kidney) I explained this to him and the stupid tw*t just looked at me, didn't move and repeated his speil about blood. My mother is under a nephrologist (kidney specialist) who told her I would be reffered to him next as I MUST be investigated further. I had to insist on a referal. I AM SO MAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
